Ministering Monday Vol 3

Count the Cost

As I laid in bed yesterday morning thanking God for the new year and thinking about things, there were a few things that I realized. We have to stop telling people that salvation is free because it's not. Salvation costs us something...not monetary but spiritually. To come to Christ costs us and not in a bad way and not in the way some might think. Below are a list of a few costs:

1) We have to give up our own lives.
2) We must die in order to live
3) We must allow God to reign (which by ALL accounts means that we can't try to do it or fix it ourselves
4) We must die (to our flesh) daily
5) It costs us to put down our pride, bitterness, jealousy, anger, unforgiveness, hatred, contention, strife, fornication and so on.

Jesus paid the ultimate price for us and we can NEVER repay our debt and He doesn't expect us to however Christ does expect us to live a standard. If we are calling ourselves HIS, then HE should be shown in us. We are not perfect but we have to do a Phil 1:6, "But he who has begun a good work in us will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ," and trust that He will.

Let Jesus the Christ begin His good work in you today. Confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead and you shall be saved.

Allow God to REST, RULE and REIGN in your heart today. Love you!
